Once known as Moulson’s Flats for the large tree nurseries established there by Samuel Moulson in 1850, this largely undeveloped pocket of land tucked alongside the Genesee River gives this part of Irondequoit a distinctly rural look and feel. Wide open spaces, antique farmhouses and weathered barns are the last remaining vestiges of Irondequoit’s agrarian past.
